The reason his name is so well known throughout the east of Ireland, is because his hard working attitude is hard to find and his commitment to his work is hard to challenge. With a schedule that is close to full up for the next year, Gavin Shannon only cements his name to the best construction work.
Realising at an early age that he enjoyed working with his hands and that construction was something that he was interested in- Gavin began his career as a plasterer and became self-employed at 18. This step into the construction business, which instilled him with the necessary understanding of how a project develops throughout its construction phase- set him up to go at it alone, as a Building Contractor in 2007, building peoples’ homes.
“I always had an interest in construction,” Gavin explained. “My dad was a handy man and I was always helping him. When I was working as a plasterer, I knew that I had to do something more- that I could handle more than the work that I was doing.”
So Gavin began project managing the erection of one-off-houses, renovations and extensions for his family and friends. As his work matured and the results were seen throughout his native County Wexford, Gavin’s list of contacts and clients began to grow and the team that he worked with expanded. Now working with a team of Contractors and men like himself- Gavin takes pride in the work that they are doing. And he can say with every confidence that any prospective client will not be disappointed- he and his team will only offer them the highest quality of work and standards.
If I got any bigger I wouldn’t be able to have any control over the work and I would have to work with people that I don’t trust- that’s just not what I’m trying to do.

It puts a lot of extra costs on the client, but guarantees that the job is done properly. We try to find the most efficient way to build so we don’t add to those costs unnecessarily. We insist on doing everything by the book and agree on everything beforehand- so there are no surprises. We want to know exactly what has to be done before we begin. We want to be able to plan and stick to that plan and that plan’s budget.”
